If you answered yes to these three questions.... The Facilities team require a Catering Assistant!
This role will be involved in theprovision of various catering services to patients, staff and visitors. This will include cooking, working within cold stores and cleaning duties within the kitchens
The shift pattern for this role is :
hours a week : 07 : 00 - 15 : 00, Monday, Thursday and Friday.
The ideal candidate will : -
- Have previous experience or relevant qualifications in Catering
- Be personable, motivating and friendly
- Have a desire to provide a comfortable environment for our patients
- Have strong communication and organisations skills.
Main duties of the job
On a day to day basis, duties will include : -
- Assist in the delivery of sandwich / salad prep & picking and packing in the Catering Department.
- Ensuring that stock levels are maintained and placing orders where required.
- Support your colleagues in other areas of catering service delivery.
- Work as part of the team in the delivery of Catering Services across the site

Qualifications
Essential
Basic Education - Reading and writing plus basic numeric skills
Desirable
NVQ Level 1 or Cleaning Experience in a similar field
Skills
Essential
- Able to use cleaning equipment, some of which may be of an industrial quality
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions for example when adhering to cleaning schedules
- Able to electronically order required cleaning stocks To ensure they are ready to be used as needed
