Role overview
The role of an Installation Engineer plays a key part in a busy,
energetic, customer facing team, which is crucial to the business and its on-going successes.
Engineers visit a variety of customer premises; from care homes to hotels, restaurants, schools, government buildings and corporate clients.
As such, Engineers are field-based and DBS checks are regularly carried out.
Service Delivery
- Maintain our reputation within the industry by demonstrating excellent customer service practices, acting responsively to the needs of the customer with the aim of delivering customer satisfaction
- Manage on-site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner
- Clean equipment and the immediate vicinity of the machine after completion of site work, leaving the site well-presented
- Handle any challenging situations with customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Be responsive and cooperative and achieve the required tasks set
Managing Health & Safety
- To carry out all activities with proper regard for personal safety and the safety of colleagues and customers by ensuring adherence and reasonable care of H&S; regulations and procedures at all times
- Report identified risks in line with H&S; procedures
- Attend H&S; training and briefings on a regular basis

Knowledge and Skills (what you know and what you can do)
Essential -
- Skilled in installing laundry and catering equipment
- Knowledge of electrical and plumbing work
- Proficient level of computer skills
- Good knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal
Experience (what you have done)
Essential -
- Experience of working in a customer-facing role
- Experience in a field based role
Desirable -
- Experience of managing challenging situations in a customer-facing role
- Experience of identifying selling opportunities in order to generate sales leads

- Aptitude for practical work
- Good attention to detail
- Talent for solving problems
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Resourceful, with the ability to work independently
- Good time management skills
- Flexibility in support of the customer and business needs
Qualifications
Essential -
- Full driving license
- Recognised qualification in a Gas Safe environment.
- Recognised qualification Electrical installation
Desirable -
- Gas Safe registered
