Project Manager Accounting and Finance
Central London
6 month contract initially
£75,000 £90,000 pa
cer Financial are working alongside a bank who are based in Central London. They are seeking a Project Manager in Accounting and Finance to work with them on an initial 6 month FTC or day rate (inside IR35) basis.
This role will require the successful candidate to be in the office typically 4 days per week, with 1 day from home.
The project itself is to search, select and migrate to a new GL Accounting System together with other statutory and regulatory dependencies.
The key end deliverables also include MI and Group Reporting.
We seek an individual who has experience in implementing an accounting system, from inception or in a migration.
The Responsibilities of a Project Manager Will Include :
- Project Implementation Planning : As the Project Manager be responsible for the timeliness and success of the Project delivery to the stakeholders under the oversight of Head of Operations
- Accounting System Configuration : Design a chart of accounts in line with the Accounting Application requirement and effect the transformation from the existing accounting data
- Direct Data Cleansing : Set up the data quality rules and align existing data to transfer
- Data Migration and reconciliation : Plan the legacy data to pass cleanly into the new Accounting Application with consideration of other dependencies
- Training Coordination : Ensure that relevant staff are educated on the project decisions on the Accounting Application by collaboration and training in the duration of the project.
Ensure the production of policy and procedures are completed as part of deliverables
- Manage the Project :
Have the responsibility to manage the project and keep stakeholders periodically informed through Project reporting and meetings
- Go Live : Project and Present the case for Go Live readiness after UAT signoff with support from users and by stakeholders for Management Signoff
- Post Implementation : Ensure that maintenance processes, deferred actions and any other post Go Live requirements are allocated for completion by project participants or otherwise for ownership.
- Provide the case for project closure and payments to providers.
The Successful Project Manager Will Have :
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA or ACA or CIMA) with experience in Finance Change / Projects
- Microsoft Project or other PM software
- Project Management Experience
- Management Accounting
- Banking or Financial Services experience
- Management Information & Dashboards
