Job description
Quality Engineer required for 6 month contract based in Gloucester paying c£30 ph DOE, immediate starts available for the right candidate working straight days.
We are currently working with an extremely busy manufacturer based in Gloucester who have a need for a couple of quality engineers to help out on the shop floor.
Working alongside the quality team you will play an important part in ensuring the quality standards are maintained.
The key areas you will be responsible for are :
- identifying and diagnosing workmanship problems in production processes using 5 Why's or similar and leading Root Cause investigations
- deal with day to day quality issues and problem solving
- hands on support with inspection using conventional inspection equipment
- helping put together work instructions
- support and lead on-site calibration activities
- ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- experienced in 8D activities
- knowledge of Six Sigma
