Day Rate : £500-£500 per day outside of IR35
Full Time : 40 hrs per week Monday -Friday
Location : London, with travel to remote offices as required.

About the Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Financial Data Analyst for a contract role. This is a sleeves-rolled-up position, suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to deliver tangible results without managing a team or holding a leadership role.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Finance Director and will play a key role in establishing the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) function.
Key Responsibilities
- FP&A; Capability Development :
- Establish and build the FP&A; function for the client within a lean and fast-moving business.
- Work closely with senior leadership, particularly the Group Finance Director, to implement financial planning, forecasting, and analysis processes.
- Data Architecture & Governance :
- Collaborate with external data specialists to design and implement data architecture and governance solutions.
- Ensure reporting processes are streamlined and support the business’s performance improvement goals.
- Key Metrics Management :
- Analyse data to identify and track critical business metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations that support senior leadership in making key business decisions.
- Hands-on Role :
- This is a practical, sleeves-rolled-up role where the candidate will be directly involved in the execution of tasks without the support of a team.
- The successful candidate must be self-sufficient, taking ownership of their work from start to finish.
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement :
- Work with senior stakeholders, including the Group Finance Director,
to deliver financial insights that drive decision-making.
- Present complex data clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
Requirements
Key Requirements :
- Strong FP&A; or financial data analysis experience in a small to medium-sized business.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver hands-on results in a lean environment.
- Experience working with external data specialists to implement data architecture and reporting solutions.
- Proven ability to focus on the key financial metrics that drive business performance.
- Finance background with strong knowledge of financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, particularly the Group Finance Director.
- Willingness to travel to remote offices when necessary.
