Job Title : Water Hygiene Engineer
Department : Operations / Water Hygiene Services
Reports to : Water Hygiene Supervisor / Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitoring and Testing : Conduct routine monitoring and testing of water systems for temperature and microbial content.
- Cleaning and Disinfection : Perform cleaning and disinfection of water systems, including tanks, hot and cold-water systems.
- TMV servicing.
- Remedial Works : Carry out remedial works as required to ensure water systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records and produce detailed reports on all work carried out.
- Compliance : Ensure all activities comply with current health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Client Liaison : Communicate effectively with clients, providing advice and recommendations on maintaining water hygiene.
- Training and Development : Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry best practices and regulations
Qualifications :
- Legionella Awareness Training : Certification in water hygiene and Legionella risk management (L8).
- Additional Certifications : City and Guilds or similar water industry certifications (desirable).
Working Conditions :
Full-time,
field-based role with regular travel to client sites across the UK.
Must be able to stay away from home for extended periods when required.
May involve occasional out-of-hours or weekend work to meet client needs or respond to emergencies.
