Job overview
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical nurse educator focused on end-of-life care within Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The focus of the role is to provide clinical staff with the skills, knowledge and confidence to care for dying patients and crucially to support families and those important to the patient who are at the bedside.
The role will encompass many areas including quality improvement, audit and governance, education and training.
Main duties of the job
Applications are welcome from any experienced band across the Trust who is interested in championing care at the end of life.
There is also the option for up to two members of staff to share this role applicants should make it clear on their application if this is something they wish to be considered for.
This is a one-year post. If the successful applicant makes a success of the role and demonstrates positive impact, further funding could be sought, but this is not guaranteed.
The post holder will also need to ensure that all mandatory and role related training is up to date and serve as a role model to promote excellence and safety.
