An opportunity to join our South East Store Operations Team as a Regional Operations Manager
What you will be doing
- Supporting the Head of Operations to deliver against Regional and business objectives
- Building successful working relationships and directing Store Teams to ensure delivery of performance aligned with wider business goals and objectives
- Creating a high-performance culture recognising high achievers and taking action to address underperformance, providing when necessary, coaching to ensure each individual sales colleague achieves their full potential
- Setting clear expectations for Store Teams in relation to performance metrics and holding them to account for delivery
- Motivating and inspiring teams to deliver exceptional results – building team cohesion and adopting a hands-on approach when required
- Delivering and influencing others to deliver results against all business metrics including sales, service, costs and standards
- Translating organisational strategy into Store specific action plans and driving change programmes with energy and passion
- Demonstrating commerciality, credibility and initiative, applying a creative approach to problem resolution
- Adopting a ‘customer first’ approach – striving to provide an exceptional service for all customers that beats our competition
- Using data and insights to make recommendations for continuous improvement in working practices and the customer journey
- Striving for excellent standards in the application of all compliance procedures including stock management, security procedures, GDPR, legislative frameworks, health and safety requirements and audit protocols
How you qualify for the role
- Proven track record within commercial management in a retail or sales based sector
- Experience of operating at management level in a multi-site environment
- Experienced in the application of performance improvement and management programmes
- Driven to deliver a best in class customer service and to perform against all KPIs including sales, service and efficiency
- Effective leadership skills - able to engage, motivate and develop colleagues at all levels
- Strategic thinker - ability to translate and communicate strategic goals and turn a vision into a practical business plan
- Commercial acumen and ability to execute commercial plans to deliver profitable results
- Demonstrable capability in successfully managing complex issues
- Able to influence and challenge senior level stakeholders in an appropriate manner
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, solution generation and delivering results
- Experience of operating in a challenging and fast paced environment
