Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
Birmingham
Birmingham Community Healthcare (BCHC) has established a reputation for providing high quality, accessible and responsive community and specialist services within Birmingham and the West Midlands. The Trust delivers over 100 clinical services, out in people’s homes and in over 400 facilities including hospitals, health centres, schools and clinics.
The Trust is also a key partner within the wider Birmingham and Solihull (BSol) Integrated Care System (ICS) as a specialist community provider and also the lead organisation for the development of the Community Care Collaborative (CCC). The Trust therefore has a key role in the integration of health and care services across BSol to ensure that wherever possible.
Sutton Cottage Hospital (SCH), in the centre of Sutton Coldfield, is the focus of a significant £10m investment by BSol ICB, which will become a key focus for the delivery of a locality-based hub to provide integrated health and care services for the older citizens of North Birmingham.
SCH will adopt an integrated model of care, with specific service focus for the older population of Sutton Coldfield, in addition to the inclusion of primary care service provision and diagnostics. This forms part of the work of the Community Care Collaborative and in particular the integrated teams in localities and neighbourhoods work programme.
If you are an ambitious and highly motivated individual, this could be an ideal opportunity to make a real difference to help shape how health and care is designed and delivered going forward for the benefit of its older citizens in North Birmingham.
The postholder will be play an influential part in the redevelopment of Sutton Cottage Hospital and will have an opportunity to work alongside some inspirational people and teams, all striving to provide the best care for their community.
You will demonstrate an excellent understanding of project management; supported by a recognised project management qualification, as well as experience of leading significant redevelopment/service redesign in a health (Acute/Community/Primary Care) or social service sector. You will have a proven track record of delivering redevelopment projects, sustainable service transformation in a complex and dynamically changing environment and the ability to win the support of key stakeholders to maximise the impact of delivering improved models of care that have made a measurable difference to patients’ lives.
The postholder is deemed key in fostering positive relationships with all associated stakeholders with the ability to negotiate and provide solutions as required, with the principal aim of securing the delivery of co-ordinated integrated care for the benefits of the local community.
