Senior Events Manager - Asset & Wealth Management - 6 months contract - Hybrid - PAYE
We are seeking a Senior Events Manager to join our client, an international Asset & Wealth Management Bank, in London on an initial 6 months contract with the potential to convert to perm. We are seeking candidates with extensive event management experience ideally from private banking or luxury brand background due to the types of clients you'll be working with.

Our client is seeking a Senior Event Manager for the EMEA region playing a key role in event strategy, bringing creative ideas, suggested venues and proposed content to the market with considerable thought to strategic execution.
The position will primarily focus on local/regional client events but at times, will require involvement in larger events targeting a global client base. As a Senior Event Manager, you will interact with colleagues on the global events team, a wide range of front office colleagues, senior management and product partners, ensuring a consistent and distinctive experience. In addition, you will work on multiple event projects simultaneously, ranging from large events, to intimate roundtable dinner discussions, both in-person and virtual experiences. You may be required to work outside of regular business hours and travel.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute high-touch events consistent with the Bank's brand standards. Good knowledge of EMEA region - key cities, venues and able to stay current with local trends.
- Conduct event management tasks from start to finish including maintaining event calendars, budgets, negotiation with vendors, invoice processing, production of event materials, and onsite staffing.
Onsite event staffing may include speaker management, vendor coordination, registration management and oversight of presentations/AV needs.
- Participate in team meetings to provide event updates, strategic event expertise and understand local business goals. Liaise with other lines of business to leverage and consolidate ideas, shared resources and cross sell event opportunities. May also be asked to assist on special projects.
- Manage event communications via the bank's event management platform (invitation and website creation, reminder and post-event communications). Strong emphasis on data management throughout the event planning process, including post-event tracking and ROI analysis
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Extensive experience in event management.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a strong proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and event management platforms.
- Ability to think strategically, problem solve and offer creative solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to liaise with senior leadership, multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
- Foreign languages are preferred: Spanish / French / Italian / German
- Good attitude, willingness to learn and able to stay calm in high pressured situations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly across different markets.
- Flexibility to work long hours and travel frequently.
- Prior experience in financial services is helpful but not mandatory.
