This post reports to one of the SBC Student Recruitment Coordinators and is responsible for high-quality, face to face initial contact activity for South Bank Colleges. The post holder will be based at one of the three SBC campuses but will be required to work across all campus locations as required; Brixton, Clapham and Nine Elms. There is no line management responsibility for this post.
The key function is to provide a professional and welcoming front of house service to college visitors, contractors, prospective students and current students, helping visitors with Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and signposting customers as required. It will be very important to ensure that the reception area is welcoming,
attractive and comfortable at all times and that, where appropriate, arrangements are made to meet individual needs.
As part of the Marketing and Student Recruitment Directorate the receptionist will also have a full understanding of the student recruitment process and pipeline stages and will fully support the student journey with IAG. They will be a highly professional front-line staff member accountable for a high-quality provision which delivers efficient and effective solutions that ensure excellent customer service.
The receptionist will have administrative tasks to undertake to support the admissions and enrolment functions and will support colleagues in the wider team as directed by their linemanager.
Working efficiently and flexibly, this role plays a key part in the delivery of an excellent student and customer experience.
