Job Advert: Junior Infrastructure Engineer – Global Hedge Fund (London)Our client, a leading global hedge fund, is seeking a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to join their London office. The firm employs a data-centric approach, leveraging advanced quantitative models and technology to develop and execute trading strategies across multiple asset classes. Responsibilities:Manage a distributed compute environment and several petabyte-scale storage systems. Install, manage, and monitor the Linux operating system (RHEL-based).
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the stack.
Enhance monitoring and alerting through configuration and improvement. Develop and maintain tools for automation. Script to automate repetitive tasks and improve system efficiency.
Required Qualifications:Up to 5 years of experience in a technology infrastructure role, including Linux administration. Proficient in Python, Ruby, or Bash scripting. Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.
