Join our growing MEP engineering design team as an experienced Electrical Engineer! We’re seeking a talented professional to contribute to high-profile infrastructure projects both in the UK and internationally. This role is perfect for an Electrical Engineer with a solid foundation of electrical design experience who is eager to grow within a dedicated and skilled team with significant growth potential.
You’ll be based in one of our key offices in York, Birmingham, Manchester, or Reading, with the flexibility of our hybrid working model. As part of our M&E; engineering team, you’ll collaborate with fellow engineers to deliver design solutions for various M&E; projects under the guidance of the Lead M&E; Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:The Electrical Engineer’s main duties will be the production of electrical designs as instructed by the projects Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and/or Lead Engineer and to be responsible for:Ensuring designs are completed to meet CRE/Lead Engineers requirements.
Ensuring designs are completed to the timescales agreed with the CRE/Lead Engineer. Planning the allocated design works to meet the agreed timescales. Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise the changes with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
Experience Required:Knowledge of electrical services design within the built environment and/or transport infrastructure including railway lineside systems (points heating, signalling power, level crossings, LV distribution) and/or lighting, small power, containment, earthing or fire alarms
Experience in the use of Trimble ProDesign/Electrical OM,
Microstation/AutoCAD and/or Relux/Dialux Design Software.Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with M&E; and/or building services
Qualified to HNC or equivalent
Experience of working in Network Rail IP ProjectWise and/or BIM Standards.Knowledge of construction principles and standards
Good communication and presentation skills. A self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision. Able to build and maintain good relationships with engineers from other internal discipline teams to promote good inter-discipline working relationships and a “One Team” ethos.
