Summary of the role
This post will be operational across numerous locations within the Commercial Operations on Streatham and St Lukes campuses, for a highly motivated and enthusiastic recruit!
This role will primarily support our culinary operations working in our kitchens supporting chefs with general duties such as food preparation, washing dishes and stock rotation whilst assisting in other areas of commercial operations when required.
Working 36.5 hours per week for any 5 days out of 7 this role will require you to work during the day and some evenings and weekends on a rota basis over 32 weeks University term time.
Our team is driven on providing an exceptional customer service experience. Staff and students use our facilities year-round, along with external customers out of term time. Across the campuses we provide the following services: retail shops, retail catering, residential catering, licenced premises, hospitality, conferencing and events.
We are looking for customer focused, team players who can also work alone. A particular focus will be on always providing exceptional customer service with a passion for providing high quality food and drink.
You will demonstrate high standards and be well organised. Having experience in roles within catering, front of house, retail and kitchens, with knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety would be advantageous.
You will have a flexible approach to working hours and practices, as well as having excellent communication skills. The role will include maintaining high standards of cleanliness within a busy environment, in line with Food Safety plus Health & Safety requirements.

The starting salary will be from £22,776 (pro rata) on Grade B, depending on qualifications and experience.
