Birmingham Newman University are seeking a qualified and experienced mental health professional to provide effective support, information and guidance to students who are experiencing mental health challenges. The role is an integral part of the Advice and Wellbeing team located in the Student Success Hub.

As a Mental Health Advisor, you will be a key player in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing across the university. You will provide one-to-one support for students experiencing mental health challenges, assessing risk, offering advice, guidance, and interventions to help them succeed academically and personally. You will work with students to promote self-help and resilience, while working collaboratively with academic staff,





external agencies, and the wider Student Success team to ensure students have access to appropriate support and resources. You will take an active role in the development and delivery of mental health workshops, awareness campaigns and staff training to promote well-being across the university.

We are looking for an experienced mental health professional with significant experience in a mental health advisory or support role, preferably in a higher education setting. You will have a thorough understanding of mental health and wellbeing in a higher education context.
