Role and Responsibilities: As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the learning experience for our students in the absence of their regular classroom teacher. Key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering Engaging Lessons:
- Plan and deliver lessons that align with the national curriculum, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Classroom Management:
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Effectively manage student behaviour and address any challenges that may arise during the absence of the regular teacher.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless transition for students in the absence of their regular teacher.
- Communicate with the school leadership team regarding any pertinent issues or updates related to the classroom.
- Assessment and Feedback
- - Provide constructive feedback to students on their work and progress.
- Support in the assessment process by marking and recording student work when necessary.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Experience in primary education,
with a solid understanding of the national curriculum.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and age groups.
5. Strong classroom management skills.
