Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team. This role is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while developing their skills in patient care and pharmacy practices. The Apprentice will work closely with experienced professionals to learn the intricacies of medication administration and pharmacy operations,
ensuring the highest standards of care and service.
Duties
- Assist in providing patient care under the supervision of qualified staff
- Support pharmacy technicians in daily operations, including inventory management and medication preparation
- Learn and apply techniques for safe medication administration
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills
- Document patient interactions and medication records accurately
Qualifications
- A keen interest in healthcare and a desire to learn about patient care practices
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
