Salary: £24,327
Contract: 12 month placement
Start Date: August 2025
Location: Pyms Lane, Crewe, CW1 3PL, office based mainly on site with some hybrid and flexible working

What you’ll be doing
Working within the Bentley Metrology team, you will have exposure to cutting edge measuring technology and the best luxury vehicles. In this role you will gain invaluable experience through managing your own projects and learning measurement principles and fundamentals. You will also be given the opportunity to present to various stakeholders and improve your communication skills. Your main responsibilities include;
- Dimensional measurement and analysis of parts, properties or vehicles; create measurement reports, interrogate fitment process to understand the complete overview of the system
- Data Analysis and root cause analysis of problems
- Developing own expertise in Dimensional science
- Developing cross-functional networks and understanding wider automotive business
About the Function
The Bentley Metrology team supports the business through all stages of production by measuring all areas of the car, from the smallest engine component to the complete vehicle.
These measurements are carried out in three areas of the department focusing on: Single part measurement service to all areas of the business, Masterbuck and Cubing process to mature parts and sub-assemblies to a nominal body property and Complete vehicle measurement service focusing on factory problem solving.

Education: The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Engineering, Manufacturing systems, Physics or Mathematics.
