About the Role:
I am a seeking a talented and experienced Solution Architect to join my client in the aviation sector to support the initial discovery phases of the Futures Programme. This role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to understand business objectives and technical requirements, assessing solution options, and developing high-level solution architecture.
Job Title: Solution Architect - SAP
Location: Near London Heathrow
Pay rate: £800 per day
Contract duration: 4 month - potential extension
2 days on site, rest is WFH
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Solution Architect services to support the initial discovery phases of the SAP Futures Programme, through to business case and potentially beyond into delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and technical requirements.
- Assess solution options against agreed technical requirements.
- Develop and define the high-level solution architecture, including system components and integrations.
- Ensure alignment of the solution architecture with business goals and IT strategy.
- Prepare and present architectural blueprints and documentation to stakeholders.
Discovery Phase Deliverables:
- Comprehensive documentation outlining the high-level solution architecture, including components, data flows, and integrations.
- Assessment of solution options against agreed non-functional requirements (including cyber requirements), relevant technical guardrails, and corporate IT Strategy.
- High-level technical design for the selected solution.
- Outline migration strategies for the selected solution.
- Identification and analysis of technical risks with proposed mitigation strategies.
Experience/Qualifications needed:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect,
preferably in SAP-related projects.
- Experienced in SAP ECC 6 to SAP S/4HANA migration.
- Strong understanding of business objectives and technical requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop high-level solution architecture and present it to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of non-functional requirements, technical guardrails, and corporate IT Strategy.
Desirable:
- Exposure to core modules - particularly Aerospace and Defense or Material Management.
