Job Summary
The role of Technical Delivery Manager within CDW Professional Services is to consult, design, plan and carry out technical governance on complex multi technology/vendor projects acting as the conduit between Solutions Architects and Professional Services during pre-sales and delivery. Once a project is in flight the Technical Delivery Manager will act as the technical lead working closely with the Programme manager to identify risks and in turn support the project team with mitigation plans. They will ensure they lead on any technical escalations to ensure standards and quality are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Will take ownership and lead the design and delivery of services across a wide range of clients and technologies.
- Acts as a coach / mentor and technical escalation in all areas where they are considered a subject matter expert, providing expert-level knowledge in respect to issue resolution, standards, design, best practice, delivering quality and reference target architectures.
- Working collaboratively with Sales,
Projects Practice, Pre-Sales, Customers and other parties as required.
- Creation of technical documentation as and when required.
- Supporting / reviewing High Level Designs
- Supporting / reviewing PS Costings sheet
- Low Level Designs
- Statement of Works (SoW)
- Ability to run project design workshops.
- Renew / upgrade required certifications.
- Takes responsibility for ensuring that assigned projects are executed and completed within agreed time, quality, scope and costs parameters.
- To assist in the design of Proof of Concept to support the delivery of a solution.
- To create/support the creation of test documentation and test scenarios.
- Ensures personal and business objectives and set KPI targets are met or exceeded.
- Proactively questions and evaluates existing systems, standards, documentation and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Provides technical leadership within the team and contributes towards strategic technical roadmaps – working with pre-sales, partner management and CTO teams.
- Accountable as lead technical role for one or more projects they are assigned.
- Acts as a coach/mentor for other co-workers.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable skills and knowledge in multiple technology areas
- Professional certifications e.g. TOGAF, ITIL,
Prince2
- Previous Professional Services / Consultancy role experience
