Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective and engaging maths lessons
- Assess and evaluate student progress to inform instructional strategies
- Support and guide students in their mathematics learning journey
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum materials
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching mathematics at the primary or secondary level
- A passion for mathematics and a desire to inspire students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Familiarity with technology used in mathematics education, such as interactive whiteboards and educational software
