Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging geography lessons to students, ensuring their active participation and understanding.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that cater to the individual needs of students.
- Assess the progress and achievements of students regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum enhancements.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status and a degree in geography or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching geography at the primary or secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
