Job description
Responsibilities :
- Plan, implement, and supervise age-appropriate activities and learning experiences.
- Provide nurturing care and support to meet the individual needs of each child.
- Foster social-emotional and cognitive development, including communication skills, empathy, and self-confidence.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Observe and document children's progress and communicate effectively with families.
- Joint develop curriculum or assist with supervision or reporting.
Required Experience
Level 1 / 2 : Possess a Certification as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 1 / 2. Minimum one year of experience in a daycare setting is preferred.
Level III :
Hold a Certification as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3. A minimum of two years of experience in a daycare setting.
All Levels :
- A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
- Strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment through play-based activities.
- Commitment to building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Fluency in English and familiarity with French is a bonus.
- Emergency child care first aid, CPR, criminal check / vulnerable sector check are required.
