Role Introduction / Overview :
The Strategic Ledger Program includes standardizing and reducing risk across current Financial Books & Records processes and establishing the next iteration of ledger strategy to adopt and implement global standard SaaS / Cloud based accounting and ledger platforms.
The oue will be a robust global process,ernance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate,plete and timely ledger data and results.
Business / Team Overview :
The Implementation Team within the Strategic Ledger Program plays a pivotal part in ensuring a seamless migration from the legacy to strategic platform (Oracle SaaS).
This includes all areas of Business Readiness and Deployment,
including (but not limited to) Stakeholder Mapping, Stakeholder Management, Training,munications, UAT, Cutover, Go Live and Hypercare.
The team is planning for the first implementation in early Q2 2025, with multiple future releases planned for the 7-10 year Program.
Some of the key responsibilities in the role :
Create, Update and Maintain detailed implementation plans for individual Legal Entities to move to the strategic ledger;
create a blueprint with the first migration for future implementations
- Preparation of materials to ensure that key stakeholders and senior leaders are kept informed and have the right information to hand to make key decisions as required
- Partner closely with Finance and Business leaders within the EMEA region, ensuringmitment from key stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with Program Office Leaders, Program Sponsors and Technology Leaders
- Planning and co-ordination of Dress Rehearsals involving multiple and global stakeholders involving Controllers, Technology,
Finance and Risk Shared Services
- Play a key role in the production cutover and post-implementation care
Development Value :
This is a high-profile role within Citi's primary Finance transformation Program, with the Implementation team moving from release to release (and region to region) working with new sets of stakeholders across the world.
The role offers a global scope, allowing the candidate to quickly understand and navigate around Citi. The candidate will be expected to liaise and interact with a large number of groups including (but not limited to) Controllers, Tax, Treasury, FP&A;, Operations, Technology, Risk, Audit and Regional Management.
What knowledge, skills and experience we'll need from you :
- Ideal candidates would have an in-depth knowledge of multi-year transformation programs, with experience ofplex system migrations a plus.
- Ideal experience would be gained through extensive experience in a Controller, Finance Transformation or technology role at Citi or a similar institution.
- The expected candidate will provide both strategic and operational thought leadership and should have the ability to lead and influence a wide number of stakeholders, virtual and matrix teams at VP (Vice President), SVP (Senior Vice President) and Director level.
- The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, team oriented, and a proactive problem solver.
- They will possess strongmunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to synthesize andmunicateplex information in a clear,
concise manner to various levels of stakeholders including both end users and senior / executive leadership.
- They must feelfortable navigatingplex and ever-changing environments with the ability to educate and persuade senior stakeholders.
- They will possess the ability to drive change throughout a large, global organization.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Multiple Years of relevant work experience with global corporations and financial services experience gained in Banking or in an associated consulting role
- Multiple Seasoned Years of experience in successfully managingplex projects and programs through the full project lifecycle, from conception through rollout and ongoing support.
- Experience as a Project Manager with SaaS enabled ERP transformations (Oracle,
SAP, Workday) is a plus
- Strong Program Lifecycle awareness and an understand of inputs critical for Implementation; particular focus on training, testing and post go live support
- Strong written / verbalmunications skills; must be concise, articulate, and persuasive with the ability to articulateplex problems and solutions and the judgement and authority to provide insightfulmentary to senior stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels within the organization including senior management, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach inmunicating issues / requests
- Growth mindset, seeking and implementing feedback and maintaining flexibility to pivot and course correct as needed
- Excellent oral and writtenmunications skills; must be articulate and persuasive Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and to understand different perspectives
Education :
Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, Engineering, or related field is required
