ESG Senior Associate, Leading International Private Equity and Infrastructure Investor, London, UK About our client
Our client is a leading international investor across mid-market private equity and infrastructure. The firm is looking for an ESG Senior Associate to join its Private Equity team to support the ESG Lead across a broad range of sustainability-related projects. What the job involves
- Support the ESG Lead to conduct due diligence of new investment opportunities, including assessing the status quo, analysing risks and opportunities, and developing key milestones for the ownership period
- Support the design and delivery of training and team events relating to ESG and sustainability
- Prepare for onboarding of new portfoliopanies including creation of presentation materials,petitor benchmarking and materiality assessments
- Provide direct engagement with and support to portfoliopanies as they deliver a range of sustainability initiatives
- Assess portfoliopany performance against the firm's ESG requirements and in developing action plans to ensure improvement areas are addressed over time
- Lead the process of collecting ESG data from the portfoliopanies on an annual basis
- Work with colleagues from across the group to ensure a simple, aligned and efficient approach to sustainability across functions
Who we are looking for
- Prior experience of sustainability within industry or in a consultancy capacity, ideally having supported the implementation of ESG strategies, initiatives and / or due diligence
- Prior experience within,
or understanding of the financial services sector, would be beneficial
- Knowledge and understanding ofmon and topical ESG topics
- A clearmercial focus, with an ability to be innovative and pragmatic
- Strong written and verbalmunication skills
