Job description
We have been assigned by an NHS Trust in the West Midlands to recruit to their Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine vacancy on a permanent basis.

The duties of the Specialty Doctor will include : providing full shift 24 hour cover for the Emergency Department, 7 days per week supported and supervised by ED consultants either directly or remotely, have regular weekly teaching sessions delivered by consultants to including mortality and morbidity meetings where you'll be encouraged to participate in quality improvement projects, will be allocated a clinical supervisor at the start of your time in the ED who will complete your induction and you will have the opportunity to complete Work Placed Base Assessments in line with your training contemporaries.
You will have access to a study leave budget and allocation of study leave, provide safe and effective care to undifferentiated emergency patients,
taking part in activities for improving quality such as clinical audit and governance & ultimately the appointee will endeavour to help you with career planning, whether to obtain exams or in support of training applications or entry into CESR rotations.
