Job description
Wayman Group is currently seeking a dedicated Maths teacher to join our phenomenal school in Barnet starting in April. As a Maths teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic development of our students. Using your expertise in the subject, you will create engaging lessons that promote a deep understanding and love for mathematics.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to ensure their continued growth.
Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and contribute to the overall improvement of the school.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in accordance with the national curriculum
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Provide regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic performance
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources to cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of students
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on educational trends and best practices
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent recognition in the UK
- Strong subject knowledge and expertise in mathematics education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
- Well-organized with excellent time management skills
- Commitment to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Knowledge of current curriculum standards and educational technology tools
