Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant and SEN specialist to deliver person centred support to individuals who present high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and SEMH needs.
You will be working in a school and supporting children and young people who need 1 : 1 support for multiple reasons.
CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS :

- Duration / Likely Duration : 1 Academic Year
- End date (if applicable) : Summer 2024
- Contract type : Full time
- Full time / part time : Full time
- Minimum rate of pay : £ per day
- Hours 8 : 30 am
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Teaching Assistant qualification or higher / equivalent is preferred
- Previous experience working in a UK school or with children of a similar age
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
You must have :
Experience of de-escalation training would be advantageous
The school would also consider candidates from youth work backgrounds, or similar roles
Excellent communication and the ability to build positive relationships with the students
Willingness to enhance skills with professional training and development

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
