Job summary
Bridge Lane Group Practice is looking for an enthusiasticNurse to join our friendly, forward-thinking and caring team.
You will be working alongside three other experiencedPractice Nurses while supported by four highly skilled Health Care Assistants.
We pride ourselves in providing continual learning anddevelopment opportunities for all staff.
List size : 14,000 plus
We are part of a PCN (Primary Care Network) where we have ateam of physiotherapists, Health and wellbeing coaches, social prescribers andprescribing pharmacists who help manage our chronic disease patients.
Salary : negotiable depending on experience
Previous experience in general practice is desirable but notessential,
training will be provided for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Under take clinical duties with relevant training :
Cervical cytology
Wound care
Childhood immunisations
Long Term Condition monitoring

Bridge Lane Group Practice is a busy, friendly practice serving a diverse inner-city population of approximately 14500 patients and 35 staff including 12 GPs and 4 practice nurses.
We work in a modern, purpose-built building very close to Battersea Park, with very good transport links.
We are a training practice for trainee GPs and student nurses and are very active within our local PCN.

Job responsibilities
Use analytical &judgmental; skills to assess, plan, implement & evaluate clinical packagesof care in collaboration with thepatient & other health & social care professionals.
Undertake clinicalprocedures with awareness for potential hazards, risks & infection control policies.
Have an understanding &work; within Patient Group Directions to administer medication whereappropriate.
To communicate effectively using a variety of communication skills; verbal & non verbal, written & electronic, with a variety of patients, client groups, individuals & organisations within & external to the NHS
To use effective communication skills with a diverse patient & relative group, using negotiation & persuasive skills to motivate.
The ability to concentrate for long periods of time with frequent interruptions and unpredictable workload & occasional distressing or emotional consultations.
To keep accurate & up-to-date records of all consultations in accordance with practice & NMC guidelines.
To ensure confidentiality at all times
