The Design team focuses on one (admittedly huge) thing, and they do it very well Making sure our users have the best experience on our app!They are data informed researchers, innovators, content and design experts, casting a laser focussed eye over the execution and validation of our platform and its features.

We’re building the foundations of a world-class function and anyone who joins will be building the future in the context of a hyper-growth start-up.

As a Lead Product Designer at Flo, you'll be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of talented designers, while also taking a hands-on approach to design.

You'll be at the forefront of design in a product stream,





working closely with cross-functional teams to define strategy, guiding design direction and nurturing a strong, collaborative team culture. Your Experience Must have :

- Strong (usually 12+ years) experience working as a designer and at least 3 years' experience as a people / team manager.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in crafting user-centered designs for mobile platforms and interactive prototypes, particularly within complex and ambiguous project scopes.
- Ability to lead design projects from ideation to launch, resulting in impactful products that have made a significant impact to users and business metrics.
- A deep understanding of user experience principles, interaction design and visual design, with a keen eye for visual details.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions across intricate projects and diverse teams, thriving in fast-paced environments.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team, build consensus, and influence stakeholders.






- A track record of mentorship and raising team quality, fostering a positive and supportive team environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in recruiting, onboarding and developing product designers, providing clear direction, support and continuous feedback.
- Clear passion for continuous learning and growth, enhancing ways of working and collaboration, building strong partnerships with peers and stakeholders across the business.
- Good understanding of Design Systems and A11Y, to ensure consistency, scalability, and inclusivity
- Competence in Figma and common design and prototyping tools

Nice to have :

- Prior experience working in healthcare.
- Working in a product first tech environment.







What you'll be doing You'll be responsible for : As a Lead Product Designer (60% capacity) :

- Stream Leadership : Oversee crucial design projects within the product stream. Ensure that all design aligns with the stream’s goals and addresses clear customer problems / hypotheses.
- Hands-on Involvement : Focus on achieving results and to be hands-on when / if needed, with strong resource management skills.

This includes leading important initiatives and covering tasks in the absence of dedicated team members.

- Quality Assurance : Ensure all design work in the stream meets high standards. Review and support design proposals, maintaining visibility and transparency of efforts.
- Mentoring : Guide product designers in planning and executing design,





helping them develop their skills and expertise.
- Strategy Alignment : help product managers define their product vision, initiatives and roadmap. Ensuring that all work, even if it’s just an idea the team is exploring, is connected to the function’s goals and strategy, and are able to show the connection.
- Coordination : Plan and coordinate design work, ensuring commitments are respected and upheld. Oversee rituals and ceremonies, making them valuable for all team members.
- Making sure all design work is visible through documentation and use of a sprint board in jira that clearly shows all initiatives planned (now, next and later) and a live source of truth artifact with the roadmap and initiatives that have been / will be picked up.







Review the sprint board on a regular basis, making sure tickets are kept updated with information, decisions made, start and due dates.

- Standards and Guidelines : Ensure all design work contributes to user experience improvement, following best practices and accessibility guidelines.
- Present work in design review sessions or demos.
- Working alongside 2 other Product design Leads on cross-stream needs : align on tooling across the company, define quality standards of design across the organization, work on career ladders and more.
- Team Culture : Foster a culture of collaboration and respect within the product, design, and content teams. Promote a sense of trust and cross-functional collaboration.
- Context Setting :





Create an environment for the team to thrive autonomously, with clarity on purpose and mastery. Provide tools and context to enable effective work.

As a People Manager (40% capacity) :

- Mentorship and Coaching : Act as a mentor to designers, offering guidance, feedback, and support. Encourage continuous learning and professional growth.
- Career Development : Assist in defining career goals and creating growth opportunities. Develop clear skills matrices and evaluation frameworks for professional development.
- People Processes : Manage key people processes, including conducting salary reviews and performance evaluations. Ensure these processes are fair, transparent, and aligned with both individual and company objectives.
- Recruitment and Team Development :





Identify skill gaps and grow the team accordingly. Plan for the team's future needs and onboard new designers effectively.

Salary Range :

Lithuania - Starting from €7900 gross per month#LI-CC1 Salary Range - per year£113,700 £130,000 GBP

Ranges may vary depending on your skills, competencies and experience.
