Wayman Group is currently seeking a motivated and passionate History teacher to join a lovely independent school in Barnet starting in April.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and organized lessons in History to students in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate their development.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' curiosity and enthusiasm for History.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies that meet the needs of individual students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' achievements, attendance, and behavior.
- Communicate with parents / guardians regularly, providing updates on students' progress and addressing any concerns.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in History or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in the UK.
- Proven experience teaching History within a primary or secondary school setting.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for History.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively plan lessons and manage workload.
- A growth mindset and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.
