My Client is a leading Independent Consultancy established in Leeds in 2007, they provide a bespoke service in the fields of Structural and Civil Engineering.
The work they undertake is generally up to around £20 million and a significant proportion of which is regular, repeat business from an established Client base in the Public & Private sectors.
They work across a broad range of sectors operating both locally and nationally, and have forged a solid reputation working on projects across the Health, Leisure, Residential, Commercial and Industrial sectors.
Job Description :
My Client is looking to appoint a Senior / Principal Structural Engineer to manage and lead their current team and assist with the overall growth of the office.
The role would suit a Chartered or near Chartered Structural Engineer with at least 8 years experience, who is hands-on but can also demonstrate their ability to lead a team.
This will involve managing and delivering a number of projects, mentoring younger members of staff whilst supervising and leading the technical delivery of projects.
Person Specification :
To apply for this position it is expected that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following :
Chartered or nearing Chartership within the following governing bodies, IStructE or MICE.
All round experience in building structures including load bearing masonry and steel / concrete framed structures and foundations.
Competent with computer analysis of structures ideally using Tekla Structural Designer (essential).
Competent with calculations utilising British Standards / Eurocodes.
Good verbal and written communication skills with experience of report writing (essential).
Experience of overseeing / managing younger Engineers and Technicians work.
Experience of dealing with Clients face to face and other professionals in a confident manner.
Experience of temporary works, geotechnics and drainage design would be an advantage but not essential.
