The key purpose of this role is to enhance university and further education college collaboration in outreach activities in London, to help reduce gaps in higher education participation.
This post provides a unique opportunity for you to work with a wide range of Linking London education partners including colleges and universities, in the support of improvements in social justice.
More specifically as a Linking London Uni Connect Outreach Officer you will work closely with Linking London HE and FE partners to develop innovative and collaborative approaches to outreach provision based on identified need, provide a brokerage role for colleges, and support the delivery of outreach activity to college learners, including delivering online events for younger learners, adults, parents / carers and staff.
This role will primarily involve working remotely with attendance at the Linking London office for team meetings and on occasion travelling to London colleges to attend meetings and, where appropriate, contribute to outreach delivery.
The post holder will be line managed by Linking London.
Qualified at degree level, you will have a good knowledge of the further education and higher education sectors and of widening participation.
You will have excellent communication, report writing and organisational skills. You will also have strong coordinating and facilitating skills and be flexible, resourceful and self-motivated.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of developing effective working relationships with education providers, as well as experience of supporting learners,
in the Further Education Sector in a widening participation role.
The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check for the role.
Remuneration :
Grade 5 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £32,962 rising to £37,143 per annum, pro rata.
The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting / Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
