MainPurpose of Job
To provide Gymnastics and extracurriculargymnastic sessions to children and young people. The post holderneeds to be flexible and may work irregular hours (e.
g breakfastclubs & evenings) given the nature of therole.
To help run our Tumble Bees Programmes outof Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub.
To workpredominantly in our Ealing locations and help build our offering.Staff will have the option to gain more hours in other areas acrosswestLondon.
Responsibilities
- Todeliver gymnastics sessions with the flexibility to ensure allparticipants are offered coaching at a level appropriate to theirability and support needs.
- Deliver Gymnastics& Dance PE Lessons for primary agechildren.
- Develop relationships withparticipants teaching staff support workers / carers parents andother key partners / stakeholders to ensure effective sessiondelivery.
- Keep up to date monitoring includingregisters risk assessments and any relevant reporting documents.
- To access all Quality Assurance staff trainingoffered by the Trust during the term ofemployment.
- To ensure all equipment isavailable and well maintained.
- Providefeedback to teachers coaches and parents whereappropriate.
- Ensure they are aware of anymedical issues concerning the participants.
- Actively promote relevant trust offers
- Help out with holiday provision whenappropriate (Gymnastics and Dance Camps
- Stayinformed about safeguarding policies procedures and bestpractices.
- Participate in training sessionsrelated to safeguarding and emergencyresponse.
- Report any safeguarding concernspromptly to the appropriate authorities or designatedpersonnel.
- Maintain accurate records ofincidents concerns and actionstaken.
- Collaborate with other team members anddepartments to create a cohesive approach tosafeguarding.
- Participate in meetings andcontribute to the development and improvement of safeguardingpolicies.

EssentialCriteria
- Minimum Level 2 Gymnastics coaching qualification (anydiscipline)
- Safeguardingcertificate
- Emergency Aidcertificate
- Current DBS
- Ability to work under own initiative and as part of ateam.
- Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills to establish and maintain good workingrelationships.
- Experience in planning anddelivering gymnastics sessions in extracurricularenvironments.
- Experience in understanding andcommitment to physical education sport and longterm athletedevelopment.
- Ability to travel to variety ofworkplaces within West London utilising own transport.
- Flexible to work outside normal office hours E.GBreakfast Clubs Afterschool Clubs &Evenings.;
Desirable :
- Dance or Cheer Qualification or experience
- Preschool Gymnastics Qualifications
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office) / ITskills
- Minimum 12 months experience indelivering coaching sessions preferably within a schoolenvironment.
- Other NGB sports qualifications
- Desire to learn how to deliver PE lessons orcoach other sports.
- Own means oftransport.
