Job description

12-month fixed-term contract

Be a part of the government’s ambitious plans for reforming the foster care system in the UK.

Use data and analysis to ensure the new regional fostering recruitment service achieves the best possible outcomes for the local authorities it supports.

You will contribute to a UK wide initiative to recruit more foster carers into the South East.

You will support LAs across the region by taking responsibility for the management, analysis and collation of complex data sets and data tools.

The role incorporates elements of data analysis, business intelligence tool development and maintenance, project management and leadership, and stakeholder management.

What it’s like working in our team

This role blends technical delivery challenges and data tasks with collaboration management. You will be instrumental in helping best practice develop and thrive, and in maintaining data processes which local authorities rely on to support service delivery.

You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training

- Monitor the performance of the regional recruitment support hub with the wider team, using a data platform to be developed specifically for the hub.
- Manage the collection, collation, and analysis of activity and outcome information via regional partnerships, to help LAs measure performance, using robust collection processes and analysis techniques which may incorporate qualitative and quantitative data collected from research, intelligence or complex data mining.
- Provide high quality information, intelligence and analysis to inform the development of the regional programme.

- Ensure the programme’s governance groups and partners understand the performance of the programme and local context, including some geographical analysis.

The benefits you will experience are

- An inclusive and social working environment.
- Flexible working opportunities including a flexi-time scheme.
- Generous annual leave entitlement
- Regular opportunities for development with internal and external training courses.
- A great office location next to travel links and the regenerated town centre.
- Internal sports and social club opportunities.
- Discounted leisure centre and gym membership.
- Supermarket discount.
- An interest free loan for a rail season ticket.

What we’re looking for

You will have demonstrable and substantial experience in data management,

preferably in a local government / children’s services context, with abilities to build excellent collaborative relationships across organisations, and provide effective performance analysis and reporting.

Interview date

Interviews will be held on 24 / 05 / 2024
