Behaviour / Mental Health Support - Wantage
Pupil Referral Unit Teaching Support Assistant
KS1 to KS2
ASAP Start - £83.33 - £90 per day
This SEN Wantage based school are looking for a confident, dedicated SEN Behaviour / Mental Health Support / Teaching Assistants who are enthusiastic and passionate about their input into a child’s education.
Ideally, the successful SEN Behaviour / Mental Health Support / Teaching Assistant will have excellent behaviour management skills and desirably some form of restraint training.
The Behaviour / Mental Health Support / Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work alongside colleagues to develop greater Behaviour / Mental Health Support working with children.

- KS1 / KS2 ages 7 11 years
- Weekday role!
- Wantage location excellent transport links, great for candidates in : Grove, East Challow and Arlington.
Essential requirements :
- Up to date enhance DBS Check
- At least 1 years SEN childcare experience (preferred)
- Safeguarding children certificate
We’ll look to you to :
- Close classroom support / teacher support the children with their learning tasks to maximise their progress.
- Facilitating the students with integration and social integration.
- Lesson / classroom plan preparation, maintaining a well-organised, tidy and stimulating classroom environment.
- Hold skills to identify safeguarding / behavioural issues, provide feedback to the teacher and SEN Behaviour / Mental Health Support / Teaching Assistant team.
- Successfully supervise the Wantage students, Team Teach experience is desirable. Activities may be physically intervene to support a child, to avoid dangerous behaviours.
