SUMMARY OF ROLE :
We currently have an opportunity for a Kit Assistant at our fantastic Academy based at our training grounds in Wetherby.
This is a great opportunity for driven individuals who relish a challenge and are driven to succeed in a fast and innovative environment.
The Kit Assistant are based at the Club’s Training Ground in Wetherby. The Kit Assistant will work alongside the current Kit Team, helping action all kit and equipment needs for the Club’s Academy.
In liaison with the Academy coaches, the Kit Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that the coaches have all the required resources for days / evening training sessions as well as ensuring all Academy teams have sufficient kit on matchdays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Daily provision and preparation of kit and equipment for training.
- Driving the kit van to and from home and away fixtures which, on occasion will include staying overnight with the team.
- Dressing room pre-match set up and post-match clear down.
- Supporting the match day operation as directed by the Academy Kit Coordinator.
- Supporting the busy pre-season arrival and preparation of kit so that it is available in a timely fashion as required by coaches and playing staff.
- Accompanying the team on tour as and when required. This may involve short periods of international travel.
- Printing logos on match kit and training wear.
- Control and management of kit stock and kit room including maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
- Be trustworthy and adhere to the Club / Academy protocols and respect confidentiality in all matters.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING :
- Have experience of operating in an elite sports environment.
- Have experience of working with young people.
- Already hold or be able to acquire a FA enhanced DBS certificate.
- Be a dependable and reliable individual.
- Be an enthusiastic team player,
happy to positively interact with persons at all levels within the club.
- Have a clean driving license and experience of driving a transit size vehicle.
- Possess a strong work ethic and be capable of working on their own from time to time.
- Represent the club in a positive manner.
- Be extremely flexible in terms of attendance which will include unsocial hours and weekend working.
- Be physically active and able to cope with the demands of the job including lifting & handling and running to retrieve equipment.
