Job description
Investments (Data Analyst) will report to the VP of Investment Operations and be responsible for data governance within the investment portfolio.
This role involves working with the Investments and IT teams to provide analysis that supports investment processes, trade management, and portfolio oversight.
The Investment Operations team is dynamic and works collaboratively with the broader investments department to manage the company's assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data governance and quality for to provide accurate portfolio data and risk metrics in the investment portfolio.
- Investigate and escalate all issues where required, working with the broader team, as needed,
to ensure timely resolution of data challenges.
- Review the data quality of the holdings held across the investment portfolio, at BlackRock Solutions Aladdin platform and in our internal investment systems, resolving issues identified expeditiously.
- Identify and direct the automation of reconciliation processes, working with our dedicated IT team, to create robust technological enhancements and greater efficiencies across the platform.
- Ensure support for managing internal projects / initiatives, identifying, and implementing process efficiencies and guidelines and related documentation.
Candidate Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in middle / back office within the financial services industry.
- Proficient in MS office with strong Excel skills; PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, or other coding language is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in investments, or fund accounting required.
- Experience and knowledge of BlackRock Solutions Aladdin an advantage.
- Knowledge of securities settlement and / or asset servicing operations is an advantage.
- Self-starter and ability to work independently.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
