Are you a Finance professional with a knack for precision and passion for teamwork?

Our Glasgow based client is currently looking for a Finance Administrator to join their team on a contract basis for a period of 6 months.

You will be responsible for the daily financial management of the Commercial Services directorate and support the Senior Finance Analyst in the delivery and provision of accurate and timely management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the mailbox, applying sound judgement and experience to resolve queries largely independently, providing clear advice and escalating appropriately when required ensuring effective service delivery
- Manage the purchase order process,





ensuring compliance with procurement requirements and internal processes
- Prepare daily and weekly sales reporting
- Payment reconciliations
- Manage the VAT coding of products, ensuring that the correct VAT codes are used for all sales and purchases
- Manage supplier queries relating to payment issues, ensuring these are resolved promptly and any relevant parties are notified
- Responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the Commercial Services directorate, supporting the Senior Finance Analyst in the effective delivery and provision of accurate and timely management reporting
- Responsible for maintaining a strong financial control environment, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and data integrity, whilst achieving service excellence through a strong customer focused ethos
- Handle supplier statement reconciliations, resolve reconciling items promptly, communicate complex issues to relevant parties, and prepare monthly cash reconciliations
- Manage service and rental contracts,





including raising purchase orders and monthly goods receipting, and support the Finance Assistant in delivering month-end duties.
- Challenge current processes, identify opportunities for improvement or better control, and support management with analysis to reduce or mitigate risk
- Assist the Commercial Service accounting team and Finance team with projects, administrative tasks, and strategic initiatives, using financial data to support and validate proposals

Key Applicant Requirements

- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures (preferably accounts payable)
- Recent relevant experience working in a complex and fast paced environment
- Experience of using computerised finance systems
- Demonstrate strong organisational,





time management, and prioritising skills with high attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
- Communicate clearly and effectively, be an excellent team player, and maintain flexibility to adapt in a constantly changing and learning environment
- Experience in the use of Agresso Financials and Saffron Stock System would be desirable
