We are looking for a talented and motivated Finance professional to fulfil a key Finance Business Partner role supporting the Enabling departments and strategic investment projects at a national charity.

Enabling depts include Finance, HR, IT, Property and CEO office. You will deliver high quality insight and financial management to help ensure the enabling (support functions) spend is efficient and well controlled, and that strategic investment projects deliver against their business cases and budgets.

You will be a confident communicator at senior levels. An individual who is well organised,





can prioritise their workload and can maintain accuracy and attention to detail whilst working to meet deadlines.

There is flexibility around where the role is based. There are large offices in London and Peterborough and smaller offices located throughout the UK and you may need occasional travel to for meetings.

However, this role will primarily be working remotely.

Key Responsibilities :

- Support Finance Lead to provide a comprehensive Finance Business Partnering service to business areas.
- Prepare timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting for budget holders, facilitating informed decision-making and effective financial management.

Carry out month-end duties to ensure accurate financial reporting, including reviewing numbers, reconciliation of key accounts and posting month-end journals as needed.

- Support financial planning processes and provide analysis, guidance and challenge to ensure the development of robust and credible plans.






- Lead meetings with budget holders to review financial position.
- A desire to drive improvements in financial understanding & accountability to deliver a first-class service.

- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across Finance and non-Finance areas.

Your Experience : Essential :

Essential :

- Worked in a Finance department providing Management accounting, business partnering or forecasting / budgeting support.
- Strong Excel skills. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.






- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, providing accurate and timely information.

Highly Desirable :

- Finance Business Partnering and / or Financial Planning experience - ideally in operational functions ( IT / Property) or projects related.
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements in financial management
- Working towards ACMA / ACCA / ACA qualification, or other suitable experience.
