As a History teacher,
you will play a crucial role in inspiring and engaging students to develop a deep understanding of the subject and its significance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality history lessons that meet the needs and abilities of students
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes effective learning
- Develop and implement appropriate assessment strategies to track student progress
- Provide constructive feedback to students and support their individual learning goals
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular activities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community
- Stay up-to-date with current teaching methodologies and subject-specific developments
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching history at the primary or secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
- Ability to create engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
