Multi-skilled Shift Engineer
Based in Bristol
Offering £28,000 - £31,000 per year (£40,000- £45,000 inclusive of shift allowance and overtime payments)
The role :
A Multiskilled Shift Engineer is required to join the Estates and Facilities Department of a large healthcare provider in the South West of England.
As the Shift Maintenance Engineer,
you will be required to work in workshops, plant rooms, service ducts and equipment enclosures.
In addition you will be expected to work in hospital wards, theatres, pathology rooms and laboratories, together with mortuaries and autopsy rooms.
- Duties will include;
- A wide range of mechanical and electrical repairs as directed by Supervisor or deputy.
- Undertaking routine maintenance (PPM) of electrical / mechanical service systems.
- Fault finding on electrical and mechanical equipment and associated control gear
- To undertake further training as and when required.
- To work within the Estates Department Health & Safety policies
- Pass on knowledge to apprentices, assistants and work experience students.
- You must have a current driving licence and be prepared to drive a Trust vehicle.
This role will involve working a three week rolling rota, with shifts alternating between day shifts, late shifts and night shifts.
For these shifts you will earn out of hour enhancements and have the opportunity to work paid overtime!
