Job description

We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Magherafelt .

This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP

Working on a 2 week rota basis

Week 1

Monday 10-5.30

Tuesday 10-5.30

Thursday 10.30-5.30

Week 2

Monday 10-5.30

Tuesday 10-5.30

Saturday 10-4

Rate of pay is £12.52 per hour. Saturday rate £18.78ph

Duties include :

- Handling client queries using print & electronic resources
- Registering clients
- Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations
- Provide all library services to meet the learning , information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.







Essential Criteria :

- Must have 5 GCSE’s including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
- 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.
- Experience working with young children and elderly people
- Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
