French and Spanish Teacher Sought for Esteemed Secondary School in Newcastle
We are delighted to partner with a leading secondary school in Newcastle, recognized for its commitment to providing a well-rounded education that fosters linguistic and cultural fluency.
They are seeking a dedicated and experienced French and Spanish Teacher to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity starting in September.
Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator to inspire and empower students in their language learning journey. The role entails :
- Designing and delivering engaging French and Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adhering to the national curriculum and promoting language proficiency, cultural understanding, and critical thinking skills.
- Creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, fosters positive communication, and celebrates the diversity of the French and Spanish cultures.
- Implementing a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress, provide tailored feedback, and identify areas for individual growth.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the Modern Foreign Languages department and the wider school community to develop and implement comprehensive language programs.
- Engaging in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest pedagogical approaches and advancements in language education.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess :
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in French, Spanish, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching French and Spanish at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement.
- Native or near-native fluency in both French and Spanish, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for language education and a commitment to fostering a love of language and culture in students.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
Compensation & Benefits
The school offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, based on the Main Pay Scale (MPS)
or Upper Pay Scale (UPS).
