Job Title : Quality Improvement Lead

Hours of hours / week (Full-Time)

Part-time applications for at least 3 days / week considered

Remuneration : £50,000 £62,000 WTE

Contract length : Permanent

Responsible to : Director of Operations (Primary Care)

Accountable to : Chief Operating Officer

Location : Haringey GP Federation Offices, 48 Station Road, Wood Green, London, N22 7TY. Please note, this is an outward facing role that is office based with some travel required in the Borough.

Some home working possible.

Interview date : 23 / 09 / 2024 - Face to Face.

Main duties of the job







This role provides an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to lead our Quality Improvement team as part of our support offer to member GP Practices & Primary Care Networks in the London Borough of Haringey.

There will also be opportunities to collaborate with partners across North Central London.

You will be a self-starter with a passion for quality improvement and improving services in General Practice. You will be an experienced leader in Primary Care helping to identify and implement new opportunities to develop clinical services using Quality Improvement methodology to improve access, health outcomes & reduce health inequalities by helping to eliminate unwarranted variation.

You will take direct responsibility to co-ordinate our existing QI and business change support offers (Childhood Immunisations uptake, Long-Term Conditions Locally Commissioned Service business change support, end-of-year QoF & IIF target support).

In addition, you will use your skills,





knowledge and relationships to identify future Quality Improvement opportunities to support both member GP practices / PCNs and the wider work of the GP Federation.

Throughout your work, you will foster a culture of Quality Improvement across Haringey Primary Care.

Job responsibilities

Lead and develop the Quality Improvement offer to member GP practices in Haringey to improve access, patient satisfaction & health outcomes in alignment with any commissioning incentives provided by the ICB







Support our member practices to ensure they are correctly coding patient activity and using the most up to date templates to maximise efficiency

Identify new opportunities for QI support in alignment with any Primary Care Transformation agenda set a National, Regional or System Level ( NHS Fuller Review, or NCL Locally Commissioned Services)

Embed Quality Improvement methodology and culture in the work of the team, ensuring it continues to evolve in line with best practice

Support innovation, integration, and transformation projects across the organisation across our At-Scale Services, General Practice, and Integrated services, ensuring that EMIS is optimised to support project delivery, working with our Clinical Systems Manager

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential







Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area

Desirable

Recognised quality improvement qualification

Experience

Essential

- Experienced in using EMIS Web Clinical System
- Experienced in Primary Care Practice Management
- Understanding of the incentives and targets in Primary Care ( QoF, DES, IIF, prescribing quality, GPAD)
- Demonstrated experience of co- ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
- Experience of managing risks and reporting at senior level
