A global player in materials handling and food processing equipment manufacture has an exciting opportunity for an experienced European Field Service Technician.
Ideally based in the UK, engineers living in France, Belgium, Germany,
The Netherlands, Spain, Italy will be considered.
Your home location is not too important. Your proximity and easy access to an international airport is key.
Please note ; this role will involve extensive travel with approximately 50% of your time spent at customer manufacturing locations around Europe.
A good command of English, a full driving license and ability to travel internationally are essential requirements.
Role Requirements
- You will be a member of the European Factory Service Team
- You will perform pre-installation visits, supervise installations and start-up, provide training, and submit written reports when required.
- You will also visit customers for repair and / or maintenance assistance and / or provide product training
- In addition, you will make courtesy calls to customers, work with Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing and assist the Parts department in handling and reviewing customer requests.
Candidates with the following experience will be considered :
- Experience in Field Engineering of Food Processing Equipment, Materials Handling, Conveyor Belts, Spiral Conveying
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a Factory Service Technician / Engineer or a Maintenance Technician / Engineer in Food Processing, Conveyor Belts, Spiral Freezing etc
- Solid mechanical knowledge
- Must work with a high degree of independence
- Proven trouble shooting skills
- Must be able to professionally communicate with customers
The role will suit individuals currently working as Field Service Technician, Equipment Maintenance Engineer, Conveyor Belt Service Engineer, Installation Engineer,
Mechanical Engineer and be living within a commutable distance of London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Bristol, Leicester, UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy or be willing to relocate.
