Job description
Responsibilities
- Planning ahead, in line with the current 15-month roadmap and managing business cases.
- Leading one or multiple scrum teams, creating a collaborative culture bringing user centred-design and technology-led approaches together.
- Acting as Scrum Master alongside providing overall programme leadership, supporting and challenging team members to get the best possible outcomes throughout delivery.
- Engaging with a broad set of stakeholders, managing expectations around risk and complexity, with an appreciation of time constraints.
- Supporting financial reviews ensuring programme delivery remains within budgets set.
Required Skills / Experience :
- Significant public sector digital transformation experience.
- Significant leadership experience, setting programme direction and effective communication with the team.
- Excellent planning, delivery and execution of large-scale programmes, identifying potential risks and directly addressing any issues.
- Technical credibility is required to support decisions across design and programme direction, ideally the candidate will have some previous engineering experience.
- Strong awareness of the design standards used in the delivery of Government Digital projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Strong experience in the leadership of agile software development teams.
- Desirable : Experience working with the GOV.UK Service Manual.
Additional Information :
- Rate offered : £575 - £650 per day
- IR35 Status : Outside
- Location : Hybrid : WFH / Bristol willingness to be onsite at least once a week in Bristol, with occasional travel to London
- Start Date : July
- Duration : Initial 6 months (significant opportunity for extension beyond 12 months)
- All candidates must be based in the UK and hold active SC clearance
