Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver innovative teaching strategies
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on student performance and progress
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching English in a primary or secondary school setting
- Excellent knowledge of the English curriculum and the ability to tailor lessons accordingly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Passion for education and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in response to the needs of students and the school
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to obtain one
