Qualifications
Roof Slating & Tiling is available as an apprenticeship course. Good GCSEs are recommended for measurements and calculations.
At Leeds College of Building you will be required to pass an assessment. You must have achieved the Level 2 NVQ Diploma to commence the Level 3 NVQ Diploma.
Salary
Newly trained roofing operatives can earn £17,000+
Trained roofing operatives with some experience can earn £17,000 - £35,000
Senior roofing operatives or master roofers can earn £35,000 - £65,000
Self-employed roofing operatives set their own rates
