Responsibilities
- Create and deliver engaging and dynamic history lessons to students of varying abilities and ages.
- Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the history curriculum.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with parents / guardians regarding their child's progress and concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, History, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching history at the primary or secondary level.
- Excellent knowledge of the history curriculum, with the ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Strong classroom management and behavior management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for teaching and a dedication to student success.
